This Is Africa Hit Radio 24/7 was launched last year, playing the latest hit songs from all over Africa. The non-stop radio stream can be listened to via the web and the TIA app. Today TIA takes the station to another level by adding the element of live broadcasts from Africa's hottest clubs and radio stations.

On Friday, February 10 we introduce the new format through a non-stop evening live program, weekly for now. TIA Friday Night Live brings you broadcasts directly from clubs and radio stations in Kenya, Ghana and the USA - twelve hours of non-stop club music to get the weekend started! Tune in from 5 PM (Europe) or 11 AM (USA).

Starting with five hours of mixing by Kenya's dj Prince (Ghetto Radio) we then go into an hour of mixing by the TIA deejays - this week with Dj Threesixty from Amsterdam. Next up is Accra's hottest night spot, Club Kahuna, where we tune live to the French African night - expect coupé decalé but also kuduro, azonto and other popular genres. In the late (or early) hours we switch to Chicago, USA with a live stream from the bi weekly underground African club night Sonic Diaspora. Check below for the timetable and more info.

Kicking off with FNL (Friday Night Live) at Ghetto Radio 89.5, Kenya's popular youth radio station broadcasting from the studio in Nairobi, the immensely popular dj Prince mixes everything from dancehall, reggae, hip hop, genge, bongo flava and Naija music into a marathon session that will lift you off your seat to dance.

Led by dj Mineral Latouche, originally from Ivory Coast, and dj Gunshot, Kahuna has the whole spectrum of modern African club music on lockdown, playing everything from coupé décalé to afrobeats, kuduro, azonto and hiplife. This slot is broadcast live from the club, located in the basement of Niagara hotel.

DJ BETO is a Chicago native now based in Brooklyn where you can catch him dropping Merengue remixes of MJ, Latin Afro-Beat, local BK Dancehall with Dominican Reggaeton in-between Trini-Soca, African Kuduro and more. He loves great rhythms that conjure movement, and with 10+ years experience pushing his Nu-Pan-Caribbean urban sound in Chicago, Puerto Rico and New York, we're glad to have him home to rock our favorite party.

Expect everything from Afrobeat, Afrohouse & Global Bass to Reggae, Dancehall, Hiplife, Kwaito, Kuduro, Coupe Dekale and other darling subgenres of the African underground, and arrive early... We've had a great time bringing folks together for Sonic Diaspora thus far- excited to get down with yall on Feb 10!

Chicago Nu Latin DJ Itzi Nallah and Afrobeat specialist Afroqbano of the Peoples DJs Collective team up with Itch13 of Gramaphone Records to bring one of Chicago’s hottest African underground dance parties to it’s rightful place- the Shrine in Chicago.

The Shrine, a bumpin' African-inspired club-lounge combo in the South Loop, may be known for it’s high-caliber Hip hop nights, but its Coup d’Etat room, where SONIC DIASPORA will be Friday, January 13, is the perfect venue where Fela Kuti will proudly look on as Chicagoans de-segregate the dance floor with tunes from Mali & Ghana to Nigeria & the Cape of Good Hope.
